Trip to Australia -Part 3

After spending all that time we thought a little bit of fresh air was needed. Luckily , across from the shopping centre was a beach-side park. It was fantastic, there was a sound stage that had a band playing,  there were many things for the kids to play on and lots of beach. While in the park Lilly noticed some balloons stuck up in a tree, so we wandered over to have a look. There were two girls dressed like santa’s elfs so as a joke I said ” you guys are santa’s elfs you should be able to do some magic and get them down”  she said “just a minute” and before you knew it one girl was on the shoulders of the other and had the balloons down. Unbelievable!!! they were acrobats.

The only problem was with all those balloons was that the pusher would roll off by itself !  Next we came across the play equipment and had a little play. Lilly even went on the swing for the first time by herself ! After that we headed back to the shopping centre for a little snack, KFC. Now KFC is a little different to in Japan. In Australia you can get potato and gravy and also the chips have chicken salt or some kind of spice on them they are yummy!

Trip to Australia – Part 2

During our 4 days in Surfers paradise we of course, visited the major shopping centre Pacific Fair, this wasn’t so bad for me because we needed to get a swim suit for Lilly so we could hit the beach. Anyway it was a good time to go because we had a chance to see Santa. Lilly’s first time to see him. We thought it would be a great idea to get a photo with Santa and Lilly. Sound like fun ??????? Well not for Lilly !! who the hell is this strange bearded guy !! Tears start to flow in a big way. 

 

After the tears had stopped we headed off to K-Mart to get a swim suit for Lilly. We found a very cute one of a famous kids character Dorethy the Dinosaur .

 

The shops also have some very beautiful window displays for Christmas.

Trip home to Australia -Part 1

We landed in Australia on the 18th of December at 6am. The flight went quite well and I would recommend flying at night when you have infants. We flew from Osaka direct to the Gold Coast on Jet Star. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Once we went through immigration collected our luggage and then got through customs. We grabbed a cab and headed to our accomodation in Surfers Paradise. We had four nights at The Circle on Cavill. It is quite new and very modern. It had a nice view of the ocean and if you can believe this the bathroom had a glass wall between the main bedroom so you could see the veiw from the spa bath. I will let you guess what problems could be associated with that!!

Circle on Cavill is made up of two towers and between the towers their is a huge TV screen and you could see these from the pool and BBQ areas that were on the third floor.

燃費がいい！VESPA S125

After finally getting my license the Vespa has been getting the chance to run around Oita! Last Friday and Tuesday I went to Beppu and back, and also went to Wasada last Saturday. The scooter is so comfortable and smooth to ride, the journeys pass way quicker than the train/bus combination and on Tuesday I got an extra bonus. I stopped to fill the tank for the first time, as it was looking a bit on the low side. The clock read 144km since I got the bike, yet I could only squeeze 4 litres in the tank, meaning an initial fuel consumption of 36km to the litre (or 3.5 yen per km!!). The only thing slowing me down now is the number of people who keep stopping and asking me about the “S” …. Vespa love is indeed universal!

免許を取ってから、VESPAで色な場所に行きました。別府とわさだに行ったときに、気持ちよく乗っていて、真剣楽しくなりました。あと、ガソリンスタンドに行ったら、また良いことがありました。１４４ｋｍを走ったけど4リトルしか使ってない！！

鬼は外!!!

今鬼が家に来て、花ちゃんが豆を投げて強い声で”鬼は外!!!”と言って鬼が出ました。

自動二輪車テスト！

後年12月から、新しいべスパS125の為に小型二輪車免許の勉強を始めた。レッドバロン店の店長がお勧めしてくれた、大分自動二輪車学校に入校しました。”日本語のみの勉強は大丈夫かなぁぁ。。。”ちょっと不安があったけど、担当者徳丸先生に会って、すぐに安心になった。皆が分りやすく教えてくれてので、1月27日にテストを受けて合格しました！！忙しいときでも、花ちゃんと一緒に行ったとき、花の世話をしてくれて、本当に明るい自動車学校です。バイクの生活を試してみたいと思ったら是非、HPのアクセス、又は電話して下さい。http://kamenoi.co.jp/motorcycle.php　０９７－５２０－１２５４

Scooter Mask!

When I was in England at Xmas I bought  a nostalgic copy of “Scootering” magazine. Inside I saw an advert for “Bandero” scooter masks and had to get one!! They keep your nose and mouth warm, free from fumes and are also breathable and very confortable. I couldn’t resist the patriotic St George cross! イギリスに居るときにSCOOTERINGの座視を買って、このバイクのマスクを見つけた。べスパを乗るときに、顔が寒くなったり、トラックの煙が臭いので、このマスクが本当に暖かいと気持ちです。イギリスの国旗デザインが好きです！！大分で、赤いべスパ・イギリス国旗マスク・イタリアマークのヘルメットをセットで見たら。。。。。サイモン発見です！！
